Our staff of qualified engineers:

Our engineers serve as a liaison between your business and the technology of that business, providing you with help and consultation from start to finish and every step along the way.

Dynamic Alliance has approximately 150 clients, including the Town of Griswold, Town of Waterford and Waterford Public Schools. Our approach is simple: We understand that you are in the business of running your business, and we understand that you need technology to do that. Our strategy therefore is to gain an intimate knowledge of your business so we may manage your IT infrastructure and act as a liaison between you and your technology.  We look at each client as an individual business or entity with distinct needs; we don’t try to force each one into the same technology cookie-cutter.

Our engineers provide IT management and consulting services, installation, repair and orientation/training for all network, server, and desktop services. Our technician is certified in printer repair for many laser printers/copiers/multifunction devices and provides desktop installation and repair services as well.

Charles Hooper, Managing Member, Systems Engineer
AS in Computer Systems, A+, MCP

Charles began Dynamic Alliance seven years ago with a vision of being and becoming the forerunner in the industry of outsourced technology services. With an A.S. in Computer Science, a multitude of industry certifications and 19 years in the sphere of business, Charles’ experience gives him the insight and knowledge to advise businesses on technology needs and system requirements.

Prior to his entering the computer industry, Charles spent 14 years in the manufacturing industry as a product engineer and in the quality control department. Charles believes that having spent several years in the engineering industry, where computers were being developed as tools and not in the information technology field, has given him a unique insight into the needs small business computer technology. He continues to draw from his engineering experience in supporting his clients today.

Charles switched careers in the early 90’s and joined the IT industry, working for a local computer company that provided hardware and labor for a major pharmaceutical company. He quickly gained experience with large networks, making many components work together, and learned many aspects of corporate IT, including projects and user support.  It was in this role that he was introduced to products that have evolved and grown into today’s most widely used, i.e. Microsoft server products.

Charles further developed his technology support skills while working for a major defense contractor in a department which provided support for a 1,000-seat design force. Within this role, he continued to hone his skills, supporting users, developing training curriculum and instructing users on new tasks. Working for yet another large company meant interfacing with many different areas, from other IT departments/vendors, to end users and management, etc.

By 2002, the IT industry, thanks to Y2K and the dot-com bust, was in termoil. Charles looked to bring some much-needed stability to the field when he became a founding member of Dynamic Alliance, LLC. He currently serves as Managing Member. Charles and the DA staff strive to provide the best service to their small to medium business clients by drawing on their unique experiences.

Charles’ favorite part of the job: working with people and seeing the light bulb go off when they realize they can do what they need to with their computer systems.

Brian Mayo, SMB Engineer
A+, Network+, MVP

Brian Mayo embarked on his career as a computer professional in 1998, working for a small software company that developed its own point-of-sale/bookkeeping software for gift shops. His keen interest in computers stemmed from the beginnings of online games, which became increasingly popular in the early Windows 95 days. From there, Brian began upgrading hardware as more visually demanding games came onto the market and developed an interest in networking computers together when he landed his first job developing the POS system software.

In 1999, Brian went on to work for a local franchise of a national chain, working under senior engineers on large projects, including a wide-area network for a local school system and other various networks for small businesses. During this time, Brian completed CompTIAs certification system for A+ Core, A+ OS and Network+. His interest in setting up and supporting networks for small businesses became his focus during these years.

Brian’s interest in the various aspects of networks for small businesses brought him to several technical forums on the Internet. With the fast pace of technology in computers, schools are often behind, and tech forums offer the latest information.  Brian joined Speedguide.Net as a staff member in early 2001. His contributions at Speedguide, as well as contributions at some other well-known tech sites, earned him the Microsoft MPV award in 2007 and 2008.

Brian signed on with Dynamic Alliance in 2003, where he continued his expertise in implementing and managing computer technology networks in small to medium businesses.
Brian’s favorite aspects of the job: upgrading small offices that are ready to grow, working with different people, introducing the Microsoft Small Business Server and showcasing the features that a small business server can bring to an office.

Dave Hassler, Desktop Technician / Printer Technician
A+, HP Factory Authorized Technician

Dave Hassler started his career in the computer field in 1986 at a small retail store in East Hartford, CT. This entry-level job included troubleshooting and repairs on some of the industry’s first personal computers like the IBM PC/XT. DOS was the operating system at the time, and Windows OS was just around the corner. This first endeavor provided him with significant training in keeping up with the fast pace of technology.

Dave then moved on to a bigger retail store in the same area and went from being an in-house technician to an on-site technician, repairing and maintaining computers in the greater Hartford area. Laser printers were the hot technology at the time, and printer techs were in high demand. To keep up with the demands of the store’s clientele, Dave attended many printer repair classes and received numerous certificates of authorization.

In the early 90s, Dave relocated to his employer’s Groton location and became senior printer tech. During this time, he received his CompTIA A+ certification and many Hewlett Packard LaserJet certifications. He also attended several Compaq/HP computer technology repair courses and received the appropriate certifications required for his company.

Dave joined Dynamic Alliance in 2004 and continues to work on business printers as well as computers. He specializes in maintaining and repairing Hewlett Packard laser printers. Dave enjoys working with the public and finds servicing PC’s and printers a challenging and rewarding career.
